Continuing Care Retirement Community's Pastoral
Setting and Historic Flavor
Cost-of-Living:
Meets U.S. National Average
Cornwall Manor is a non-profit,
continuing care retirement community in
Cornwall, Pennsylvania, a small town (population
3,500) centrally located between Harrisburg and
Lancaster. Originally established as a
home for retired United Methodist Church clergy
in 1949, this community provides housing and
health care in a "caring, Christian
environment." Situated on 190 leafy
acres of an estate that once belonged to an
iron-magnate, Cornwall Manor has a lovely, rural
campus and boasts several historic buildings
that date from the 18th and 19th centuries.
In fact, seven apartments are housed in a
building dating from 1773.
